A Reclaim.ai alternative for what you never wrote down
Reclaim.ai and Wasp look adjacent and are solving different halves of the problem. An honest comparison, including where Reclaim.ai is the better choice.
The short version
Reclaim defends your calendar and syncs tasks in from wherever you keep them, which means it inherits that tool's blind spot. Wasp goes to the inbox and the chat where commitments are actually made. Reclaim has a real free tier and Wasp does not.
Why people look for a Reclaim.ai alternative
Reclaim is an AI calendar. It defends focus time, schedules habits, finds meeting slots that suit everyone, and syncs tasks in from the tools you already keep them in.
Reclaim is strong at protecting time and less concerned with what you do inside it. People usually start looking when they realize their calendar is beautifully defended and the same commitments keep slipping anyway.
What Reclaim.ai is genuinely good at
The free tier is real and generous, the calendar defense works, and the integrations are broad: Asana, Jira, Linear, Todoist, Google Tasks. If the money matters, Reclaim gives away more than anything else here.
This page is not going to pretend otherwise. If the paragraph above describes your problem, the honest recommendation is to stay where you are.
Where the two diverge
Reclaim syncs tasks in from a task manager, which means it inherits that task manager's blind spot exactly. Anything you never typed into Todoist or Asana is invisible to Reclaim too. Wasp goes to where commitments are actually made, which is your inbox and your chat.
Reclaim protects time. It does not chase outcomes. A defended block that you spend on something else passes without comment.
Wasp reads Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack and on-device capture, and detects commitments as they appear, confidence-gated so low-signal noise never surfaces. It also reads what you send, which is the part nothing else does: a line like "I will get you the numbers by Friday" takes ten seconds to type and is gone from memory in five minutes. Wasp keeps it, then holds you to it.

Which one to choose
Choose Reclaim.ai if
Choose Reclaim.ai if your calendar is being eaten by other people's meetings and you want it defended, or you want something capable that costs nothing.
Choose Wasp if
Choose Wasp if the calendar is not really the problem, and what you need is for something to notice you have gone quiet on a commitment and refuse to let it pass.
Choose both, honestly
They are not mutually exclusive. Wasp is the layer that catches what never got recorded and then applies pressure, and it is compatible with keeping Reclaim.ai for what it is already doing well.
Where Wasp is today, plainly
Wasp is pre-launch. The product is built and the waitlist is open, and there is nothing to buy yet. If you need to move off Reclaim.ai this week, Wasp cannot help this week, and it would be a poor comparison page that let you find that out later.
There are no customer testimonials on this page because there are no customers yet. Rather than borrow someone else's quotes or manufacture any, here is what can be checked instead: the live demo runs the real interface on invented data with no account needed, and the changelog lists what has shipped and when.
Questions
Does Wasp have a free plan like Reclaim?
No. Every Wasp plan opens with 14 days of full Pro with no card required, and after that Essentials is 15 dollars a month. There is no free tier, because Wasp works for you rather than on you, and a free tier would mean the product had to earn its living some other way.
Can Wasp defend focus time on my calendar the way Reclaim does?
Not as a standing policy. Wasp can place a focus block for a specific commitment when you pick that as your answer to a nudge. Continuous calendar defense and habit scheduling are Reclaim's speciality and are not what Wasp is built to do.
