Terms of
Service

The agreement between you and Wasp. We have kept it as short and as plain as a contract can reasonably be, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.

Effective [DATE] Last updated [DATE] Version 1.0

The short version

A plain summary of what follows. The full terms below are what legally binds us.

  • Wasp is a tool, not a guarantee. It works hard to make sure you do not drop things. It cannot promise you never will.
  • Your data stays yours. You own what you put in. We only get the permission we need to run the service for you.
  • Check what the AI writes. Wasp drafts, suggests and summarises. You are responsible for anything you choose to send.
  • Cancel whenever you like. No lock in, no cancellation fee, no phone call. You keep access until the period you paid for ends.
  • Paddle handles the money. Our reseller is the merchant of record. They process payments and issue refunds.
  • We will tell you before we change things. Material changes come with notice, not a silent edit to this page.

Section 01This agreement

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("Wasp", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the Wasp applications, website and related services (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service. Our Privacy and Security Policy and Refund and Cancellation Policy form part of this agreement.

Section 02Who can use Wasp

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you are using Wasp on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" means that organisation.

You may not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions, or located in a country subject to an embargo, that would make doing so unlawful.

Section 03Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at security@meetwasp.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

One account is for one person. Do not share credentials. If you need access for a team, contact us.

Section 04What the service is

Wasp reads sources you connect, identifies commitments, keeps them in a single list, and prompts you about them with increasing insistence as deadlines approach or pass. It can draft messages and place blocks in your calendar when you ask it to.

Wasp is an assistant, not a guarantee of outcomes. It may miss a commitment, misread an intention, surface something that is not a task, or get a date wrong. It is designed to reduce how often you drop things, not to eliminate the possibility. You remain responsible for your own obligations, deadlines and professional duties. Do not rely on Wasp as the sole safeguard for anything where failure carries serious legal, financial, medical or safety consequences.

Section 05Connected accounts

Connecting a source such as Gmail, Google Calendar or Slack is entirely optional, and you see exactly what will be read before you grant anything. By connecting a source you confirm that you have the right to grant that access, including under any policy your employer applies to that account.

You can disconnect a source at any time from the Trust Center inside the app. Doing so revokes our access and deletes the stored credential. What Wasp already derived, such as your existing tasks, remains in your list until you delete it.

Wasp never sends a message on its own initiative. Where the Service prepares a draft, it is delivered to you for review, and it is sent only when you choose to send it.

Section 06AI output

Wasp uses artificial intelligence to interpret messages and to generate summaries, suggestions, insights and draft replies. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or poorly judged, even when it reads confidently.

You are responsible for reviewing anything Wasp produces before you act on it or send it. A draft written by Wasp and sent by you is your message, in your name, and you own its consequences. Do not treat AI output as legal, financial, tax, medical or professional advice.

Section 07Plans, trial and billing

Wasp is a paid subscription. Current plans, features and prices are shown on our pricing page, which forms part of these terms.

Free trial

New accounts receive a 14 day free trial with full access to our highest tier. We ask for payment details up front only where stated at sign up. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your account moves to our entry tier or becomes inactive, as described at sign up. You will not be charged without your agreement to a plan.

Subscription and renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or quarterly depending on the cadence you choose, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Renewal is at the then current price for your plan. If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will give you at least 30 days notice before it applies to you, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

Merchant of record

Payments are handled by Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns.

This means Paddle, not us, is the seller of record for your purchase. Paddle collects payment, handles applicable sales tax and VAT, and issues invoices and refunds. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's own terms. We never receive or store your card details.

Taxes

Prices are shown exclusive of tax unless stated otherwise. Any VAT, GST or sales tax is calculated and collected by Paddle based on your billing location and shown before you confirm payment.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and will let you know. If it remains unpaid, we may suspend or downgrade your access. Your data is not deleted for non payment. See Section 15.

Section 08Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from inside the app or by emailing support@meetwasp.com. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not billed again.

Full details, including our position on refunds and your statutory withdrawal rights as a consumer, are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Section 09Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Wasp for anything unlawful, or to harass, deceive or defraud anyone
  • Connect an account you do not have the right to connect
  • Attempt to access another user's data, or probe, scan or breach our security, other than good faith research reported under our disclosure policy
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product
  • Send bulk unsolicited messages, or use the drafting feature to generate spam
  • Overload the Service, or circumvent rate limits, usage limits or plan entitlements
  • Upload malicious code, or content that infringes someone else's rights

We may suspend an account that we reasonably believe is breaking these rules, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

Section 10Ownership

Your content is yours. You keep all rights to the data you put into Wasp and the data Wasp derives from your connected sources. You grant us a limited, non exclusive licence to process it purely to provide the Service to you, and for no other purpose. We do not use your content to train AI models. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

Wasp is ours. The software, design, brand, and everything else that makes up the Service remains our property. These terms grant you a personal, revocable, non transferable right to use it while your subscription is active, nothing more.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation. We appreciate them.

Section 11Availability and changes

We aim to keep Wasp available and working well, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may need to take it down for maintenance, and third party services we depend on can fail in ways outside our control.

We will keep improving the Service, which means features may change. If we materially reduce or remove a feature that is central to the plan you pay for, we will give you notice and you may cancel and receive a pro rata refund for the unused part of your current period.

Features labelled beta or early access are provided as they are, may change or disappear, and are excluded from any commitment in this section.

Section 12Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non infringement.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, you may have statutory rights that sit alongside this agreement, and this section does not take them away.

Section 13Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, or lost or missed opportunities, including any loss arising from a commitment Wasp failed to capture, surface or remind you about.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or [USD 100].

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Section 14Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, your infringement of someone else's rights, or content you sent using a draft the Service prepared for you.

Section 15Termination

You may stop using Wasp and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your data as described in the Privacy and Security Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Except where you have breached these terms, we will give you reasonable notice, an opportunity to export your data, and a pro rata refund for any unused portion of a period you have paid for.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimer, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, do survive it.

Section 16Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence.

Before starting formal proceedings, please email legal@meetwasp.com. Most disputes are resolved faster by a conversation than by a court.

Section 17Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will give you at least 30 days notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel and receive a pro rata refund for the unused part of your current period.
